Solo, route-based field work | Performance-based pay | Full-time preferred
The Job in Plain Terms:
You'll spend your days on the road—alone—servicing residential and commercial properties. About 60% is window cleaning; the rest is gutter cleaning, solar panel cleaning, and pressure washing. Roughly 30% of jobs put you on a roof.
This is physical, outdoor work. Long days. Ladders. Rooftops. Heat. Cold. You're responsible for everything on your route: customer contact, the work itself, updating our systems, and collecting payment. No one is standing over your shoulder, you manage yourself or you don't last.
What the Day Looks Like:
- Drive your personal vehicle to our office, pick up a company truck and equipment, then head out on your assigned route
- 8–12 hour days are to be expected
- Minimum 3 days/week required; 4–6 days is typical (and better for your paycheck)
- Routes vary day to day. Understand flexibility is part of this job
Pay Structure: This is performance-based. The harder and smarter you work, the more you earn.
Commission Rate:
- Base labor | 15% of job revenue you service
- Upsells | 30% commission
- Tips | 100% yours
- Realistic weekly earnings: $750–$2,000 depending on days worked and performance. Tips are common—roughly 1 in 5 customers tip, especially if you're personable and do quality work.
After a 90-day probationary period, raises are on the table based on performance.
Physical Requirements — READ THIS CAREFULLY:
- Lift and carry up to 60 lbs (ladders, equipment, 40–50 lb water tank)
- Climb ladders up to 2–3 stories
- Work comfortably on pitched roofs—prior roof or height experience is strongly preferred
- Spend full days on your feet, outdoors, in Central Valley heat and winter cold
If roofs make you uneasy or you're not physically fit for this kind of work, this isn't the role for you.
Who Thrives Here:
- Self-starters. You don't need a boss watching you to work hard.
- Money-motivated. You see the pay structure as an opportunity, not a risk.
- Problem-solvers. Things go sideways in the field—you figure it out.
- People persons. You enjoy talking to customers and understand that your personality directly affects your tips and your reputation.
- Reliable and honest. You show up, you communicate, you don't cut corners.
Who Doesn't Last:
- People who need constant supervision
- People uncomfortable with long days or physical labor
- People who want a predictable hourly paycheck with no performance expectation
- People who avoid customer interaction
- People who aren't comfortable on roofs or at height
We've learned the hard way: if you're looking for easy, short days or don't handle independence well, you'll wash out fast and we'd both rather figure that out before you start.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal transportation to/from our office
- Able to pass a background check
- Roof or height experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Strong communication skills—phone, text, and in-person
What We Provide:
- Company vehicle and all equipment for daily routes
- ~20 hours of paid training
- Online training modules to get you up to speed
- Clear path to higher pay after 90 days
